Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Ltd. (CCBPL) celebrated the “CCBPL Day of Caring” on 5th April 2012 nationwide, across six cities in its continuous efforts to build a culture of corporate social responsibility and the spirit of volunteerism. In this activity, CCBPL employees across Pakistan identified polluted areas in their respective cities and got together as one team, for “Coke’s Community Clean-up.”
The sites across Pakistan for this activity were; Kot Khawaja Saeed and Mughalpura in Lahore, Sabzi Mandi in Islamabad, Gol Bagh and Gulgasht Colony in Multan, Sadiq Bazar in Rahim Yar Khan and Canal Park, Samundari Road in Faisalabad. The activity lasted for three hours where CCBPL employees gathered at pre-identified sites and carried out the clean-up activity.
The event was attended by the CCBPL Executive Committee and GM John Seward. Speaking about “Coke’s Community Clean-up” initiative John Seward said, “At Coke we truly believe in having a responsible corporate approach in our efforts to sustain financial achievements. For this very purpose we have a diverse CSR program in place across Pakistan enabling us to operate while respecting the environment, valuing natural resources and taking into consideration the needs of future generations.”
