Last year, ECP called in for a demonstration of these voting machines both from local and foreign companies. Additionally, the machines by COMSETS, NUST, KRL and a Spanish company were considered as the most suitable and cost effective for Pakistan. However, it should be remembered that most of the countries including India are already using electronic machines to avoid any rigging in the elections.
